Wow...The class of 74 is closing on its 40th anniversary. Where has the time gone. If only I could turn back the hands of time, only to relive the A&D experience again. I would take advantage of the incredible artistic experiences that it offered. Although I graduated, I didn't take advantage of my artistic skills. I did ok for myself, but A&D was about artistic expression. It is great to see that so many of our past alumni achieved that goal. I have and will always cherish my four years at A&D. Without question, it changed and help shaped my life. Keep the A&D spirit going by continuing to post and blog. God First, One Love!

A&D has been one of greatest academic experiences of my life, as well as a emotional definitive time for me.

One of the greatest experiences of my life. I loved A+D. It was so unique to that time. I'm still in the business as a graphic designer and illustrator 35 years later. Started working right out of A+D and haven't stopped since. Fond memories of Max Ginsberg, Irwin Greenberg and Burma Burris. Being an artist is not a job, it's a lifestyle. Thanks A+D. In my heart always!

I was supposed to be Class of '74 but circumstances happened so I didn't graduate. I heard something a couple of years back about Al Hollingsworth passing, and was wondering about my favorite bike riding cartooning teacher Tom Naegele. I dropped in on his class many years ago to find he was totally gray but just as charming as he was back in 74. His class was stunned by his embrace and attention to me and when they started making a little noise, he reprimanded them promptly. I said, 'hey, WE were worse than they are,' and he said "yeah but THEY don't need to know that!" He was my favorite teacher and even though I didn't graduate, I used what I learned in A&D to go into business for myself. I heard about the budget cuts; if you could contact as many of the past students as you can for an organized protest, perhaps the City will take notice.

I am looking for Patti Petrizzo, I graduated in '75, but in college, s.v.a., we were best friends. She married in early 80's and moved to Virgina Beach, around '87. Her married name is Grey or Gray. Sadly, we lost touch there after. If anyone has contact with her, please let her know I miss my buddy, and pass on my e-mail address. Thanks, Vinny Lucci
