My mother was Lillian (Ryff) Adelman. She passed away November, 2001.

She always spoke of her days at SIA with joy and pride. I was reading in the beginning of your website that there was a rumor that the SIA building was a Civil War hospital. Well, Mom used to tell us that they would dig up remains in the basement to use for drawing sessions. Pretty good chance it was an old hospital.

The reason that I found your website was because MY daughter is a natural born artist just like her grandmother. In fact, she looks a lot like her too.

It was interesting making this connection. By the way, my daughter wants to attend an art school in the greater NYC area to study graphic design next Fall. We live out of state, so it's going to be steep ($). If any of you have connections that would help, please let me know. I would be glad to send you samples of Aviva's work...she is very talented.

Thanks, and have a great 2004.
