    Sheila Schick, Class of 1943
This is the greatest Sheila on the planet, both inside and out. Everyone should have and know such a sweet and wonderful witty person who just happens to be beautiful too.
We would have been great super nutty school chums...

Hello Augie Vila and Irving Rubinsky! Thank you, Augie, for posting this picture! You were classmates of my mother, Jeanne Tatem. I would love to send news to her. I attended A&D and graduated in 1985, a fashion major like my mom! It is wonderful to really view all of these photos/yearbooks. I ran across this one! Who else is out there from 1949?

I have been living in Palm Desert California since April 2005. That's perhaps 125 miles from Huntington beach Cal. What was your last name? I graduated in June 1949.

Hi Irving, I remember you as being in one of my classes. I think it might have been photography. I live in New Jersey and I was in the Fashion Illustration class. Hope to hear a word from you and if you ever hear from any of the other '49 classmates. Where in California are you living? I have close friends in Huntinton Beach and visit often.
Hope to hear from you, Dolores

Donna, your comment surprised me and delighted me -- you know, I just have not checked this site out -- I'm getting a ton of stuff about me by googling my name! You can do the same. I don't have a homepage -- but e-mail if you like. I graduated SIA in 1945.

I sure wish there were more people here to chat with from my graduating class.I am in touch occasionally with Joe Jacobs and have been in touch with Barbara Schepps. She's not doing too well nowadays. One of the nicest girls in the class of 6/49.

Hi -- this is Annamay! I'm in the center at right. This was a Fashion Show that was given at the school -- we are all students from the Fasion Design class. I won a medal at Graduation -- to my great surprise. Vincent Copolla, a prominent designer of the time, saught me out as was his custom, to help start young designers off on their path. Lord and Taylor one time displayed in all their windows a tribute to him -- his designs of coats and suits and with his photo displayed and commentary remarking on his efforts to help beginners in the field. He bought several of my deisigns, which I saw worked up -- but perhaps regretably, after a couple of months, I forsook the field for Fashion Illustration. The Illustration field worked for me, as well -- but after the 60's photography moved in and illustrators no longer could find work.
